Biodegradation & Bioremediation :  Monitoring of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in environment; Biodegradation and elucidation of metabolic pathways of high molecular weight PAHs; Bioremediation protocol development for PAHs.

Wild Edible Fruits and Herbals : Determination of polyphenols, antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-microbial,  anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and skin-lightening activities of wild-edible fruits of North-West Himalaya; Isolation and purification of bioactive compounds; development of effective formulations for general health maintenance and anti-aging, skin-whitening cosmetics and anti-cancer drug against cervical and breast cancers; Screening of medicinal plants for antibacterial activity against dental problems; Isolation and characterization of Natural compounds.

Soil Microbiology :  Soil analysis; Isolation of stress (heavy metal, salts, temperature, pH) resistant bacterial species; Isolation of plant growth promoting bacteria; Development of biofertilizers for farmers.
