Science is nothing if it is not for life on this universe. Life Sciences is the study of total microbes, fauna and flora present on our planet. Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biochemistry are the advanced branches of life sciences which are growing very rapidly.

To-day’s science is growing rapidly and new inventions are adding in our life step by step. Now, human are using new technologies in different sectors of science and life sciences for the betterment of human race along with protecting animal and plant breeds. Biotechnology, Microbiology and Chemistry science providing a vast field of experiments on animals, plants and other chemicals present today. Students are choosing these subjects for their career and are being selecting in different national and international companies / research and development sectors. In MIT, M.Sc. Biotechnology started in the year 2003 while M.Sc. Microbiology and B.Sc. Biotechnology included in the year 2005. In the year 2016, one more PG course (M.Sc. Chemistry) has been added.

Admission now will be open to the 14th batch of M.Sc. Biotechnology; 11th batch of B.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Microbiology and 2nd batch of M.Sc. Chemistry

Objectives

• To impart in-depth knowledge of the frontline areas of biological Sciences with the basics of biotechnology and microbiology

• To generate skilled professionals capable of applying biotechnology and microbiology to solve the basic problems of the life sciences for human welfare.

• To carry out high quality applied research in the area of relevance

• Orientation classes: Especially, 6 to 10 lectures are devoted to the orientation of new admissions regarding the course and subjects.

• Teaching is done using power point projector, over head projector, as well as board.

• Tutorials are provided to students by the faculty as and when needed.

• Counseling of the students both career and personal.

• Student’s performance is routinely assessed on the basis of presentations, seminars, assignments, class attendance, unit tests and sessionals.

• Students feedback is taken for each Teacher to assess quality of teaching provided by the respective teacher

• Parent’s feedback is taken and their suggestions are routinely take in to consideration.
